The International Student Office is designated to take charge of the enrollment and admission of international students studying in SMU. The Office help students with their application for VISA to China and is responsible for the handling of entry and exit procedures, the maintaining of international students' study records, the issuance and reporting of undergraduate students' diplomas, and the issuance of graduate students' diplomas. It is also responsible for the day-to-day management of teaching and student affairs in collaboration with other secondary colleges to facilitate international students’ study and life in SMU.
